for this intropage we would like to create something that is simple but yet affective design.. a design that works and most importantly, user friendly.

Education: GUI

In this GUI I want to keep it simple and fresh. There will be small changes in background and buttons but the layout will stay the same.









STORYBOARD

1. Main Section storyboard

Artwork: Pictures of mini quiz at the bottom of the screen. Vector art will cover the background in low opacity. Just want to show clarity and simple in mind.

Animation: Pictures of mini quiz slide left to right when mini quiz button is clicked. The menu will turn to stacks of sub-menu when clicked thus preventing another page to load.

Sound: Every time users click the mouse, a “click” sound is play. Music is played slowly in background.

Text: Bandar Sunway believes that education is important aspects in human lives. That is why we can see education is offer from all sort of level. Either in primary schools, secondary or higher level education. To learn more about education in Bandar Sunway click here.

Interaction: Main interaction here is clicking the button.

2. Gallery storyboard

Artwork: Mainly showing pictures of schools, colleges, and other education institutions.

Animation: Collection of pictures slide right to left. Inactive pictures will fade off and blur.

Sound: Only sound of background music. “Click” sounds only available to menu bar button.

Text: Description of pictures rollover at the bottom of the pictures.

Interaction: Mouse click and keyboard input of arrow key to slide through pictures.

3. Mini quiz storyboard

Artwork: Vector art of game put onscreen. Cartoons character and multiple objects in vector format will be use for this game.

Animation: Object and character animate base on time and the time or marks of the player. Either the character became sad or happy. Objects become bulky or shrink in size.

Sound: A lot of sound will be use for this game to give impact to users. Music background is more obvious in this stage.

Text: Guide and rules, how to play, and the clue to complete the words.

Interaction: User will be using their mouse and key for certain stages of this categories.

FLOWCHART

After a while touring in Sunway Pyramid, I’ve seen that there’re variety of clothing and fashion to choose from. Sunway Pyramid is a well-known shopping mall in the area of Sunway City. Fashions like Raoul, Guess, Levi’s and many other more lines of clothing brands either imported or local are available there. Besides that, credits should be given to the management of Sunway Pyramid of the way they arrange the fashion and clothing brands on the same floor so that it will be easier for customers to walk around choosing what clothing brands they want to buy on the same floor instead of going up and down searching for it. On my observation for last week, Sunway Pyramid offers the best quality of clothing and fashion brands in the area of Subang Jaya also Selangor itself. Moreover, I’ve managed to walk around the outer part of Sunway Pyramid and from what I’ve seen, a lower standard or in other word unbranded clothing brands is available there for those who are incapable of getting one inside of Sunway Pyramid. However, the point is that the area of Sunway City offers a variety of clothing brands to choose for the people who came to their area.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all my group member for a wonderful trip to Sunway City a few days ago. Since I volunteer myself to cover the architecture part of this research, i saw a variety of well designed building with different theme. For example, Sunway Pyramid, also known as a shopping mall in the heart of Sunway City, with the theme of Egyptian era include the sculpture of Pharaoh and also symbols of hieroglyphs at some part of the building such as pillars, that support the structure of the building. In addition to the theme of Egyptian era, front entrance of this building also include the huge sitting lion’s with huge head that connected to the pyramid behind it. About the interior part, Sunway Pyramid have a huge walking area that is comfortable for people to walk around the building. This walking area also provide space for a better and faster emergency exit in case of emergency. Further research on Sunway City, I also manage to capture some picture of the architecture design of Sunway Hotel(a famous five star hotel in Sunway City) and also Sunway Lagoon(water theme-park). Both of this is one of the tourist attraction in the heart of Sunway City. Sunway Hotel is a five stars hotel that was build with the theme of Balinese. This hotel include a wonderful exterior designed as well as the interior that fits the theme of Balinese. In the exterior part of the building, you can see the leaf of Bali at every end of the building, on top of the roof. As for the interior part of the building, the concept of Balinese still remains as the picture that was hung in the wall reflect the concept of Balinese. Furthermore, Sunway Lagoon, that was located beside in the middle of Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Hotel is also famous throughout Malaysia and even to the world for its wonderful designed of water theme-park. Sunway Lagoon include a huge wave pool and also a long lazy river that circle’s around the Sunway Lagoon.

Design

This interface is for the whole of my page and it will divided into 3 – 4 separates space. The color is only blue and white because it referred to the color theme of the places. Obviously the majority color is blue. It looks not too complicated and has a nice soft color. The color can create mood of joy and happiness within the viewers.

Animation and sound

For this part, I will use attractive sounds that can make the viewers feel comfortable hearing it. It is important to make sure the viewers do not feel annoying while hearing the sound effects. I will focus on the animation in creating interesting transitions for the space provided especially in gallery and entertainment slots. It can entertain the viewers and it is not like a slide show while browsing this program.

This is the flow chart of my page. The content is more in information about the entertainments in Sunway City. Some simple games will be included for the interactivity and for fun of course. All contents can be referred here and will be updated time by time for modification and changing ideas.

Sunway city is a famous place in Selangor where people usually go there to enjoy themselves. This city is well known in Selangor because of its various entertainments. Sunway city is suitable for all generations who want to spend their time. Furthermore, all the places are not far from each other and it is easy to go there. Of course sometimes it is hard to get there by your own transport and we advised to take public transport such as bus, taxi and others. Moreover, the city has many education institution. It is good news for kids and teenagers because there is a lot of entertainment for them. Those who have a big family, Sunway Lagoon theme park is the most suitable place to go. It is a huge water theme park with a lot of games there. Even in Sunway Pyramid, we know that it is a shopping mall, you can enjoy yourself by ice skating. There a lot of things to discover in Sunway city that we want to show in this project.

We have decided that today we'll go to Sunway to do some research on our project. Each of us has our own task that we've been discuss for the last few weeks. We going to depart from Cyberjaya to Subang Jaya at 10 a.m, Friday Nov 23rd 2007. Our main target is the area of Sunway Pyramid since it is the main attraction and depart from Subang Jaya back to Cyberjaya approximately at noon.

For this project I would like to create something that is simple and yet attractive design. For me, the design with curvy shape create the wonderful impact to the viewer eyes. At the time, the simplicity of the design create a wonderful soft atmosphere for this project. It will also work well with added images and also videos.

Animation

For this, most of the animation will be located on the picture gallery and also the menu bar. This is where most of the interactivity past happens and also create a connection and interaction with the users.

Sound

Most of the sound that will be use for this project is basically sound effects to create a soft touch for this project. Most of the sound will be, for example, when clicking the button on menu bar and also when browsing the picture gallery. At the same time, background sound might also be helpful for creating the mood.
